What’s the first thing you think about in the morning?

We dive into that question today, and we explain why this matters so much for your life.

“You will never get out of life any higher than the thoughts you consistently think.”

OneTribe® Weekly – Crab Mentality

Do you ever feel as if the crowd around you is complacent in the fact of failure. Telling you “failing is okay” and to “not be so hard on yourself”. This mentality can be referred to as “Crab Mentality”.

The metaphor goes like this: when one crab gains the strength to try to rise and escape the bucket the other crabs will grab and keep that one crab down. Keeping this crab in the bucket and being complacent with the idea of being inside a bucket.

Check out this video to find out more behind the “Crab Mentality”.

OneTribe® Weekly – Decentralized Command

Today we cover the 4th Law of Combat – Decentralized Command.

We discussed a scenario in which a general gives an order to his troop in Iraq. One reality where he explained why he gave the specific order and the other without this explanation. The adaptability of the troops in Scenario 1 (with the reason why) were able to come up with another strategy to achieve the command in a different way.

While in Scenario 2 (without the reason why) the troops were unable to adapt and questioned the order of command for making such an order. We want our organization to act independent of command so that everyone is able to correctly adapt when a plan goes awry. Knowing the “WHY” is just as important as knowing the “WHAT”.

OneTribe® Weekly – Prioritize and Execute

Today we cover the 3rd Law of Combat – Prioritize and Execute. We discussed that animals are similar to us humans in many ways especially the brain.

The lion for instance can only focus at one object at a time thus explains why a lion tamer usually carries a stool with him in the cage.

Humans are the same way. Rather than seeing all our tasks at one time it’s more effective to stack them vertically and look at one task at a time.

OneTribe® Weekly – Organizational Intellect

This week we talk about the inner workings to the different moving parts to a business. How to rely on your co-workers and their specialized knowledge, but not draw them away from their own daily tasks.

Balancing this is difficult. With the use of Organizational Intellect everyone in their specific role is a leader. They will either know or grow to learn how to mediate tasks and utilize the skill sets of each of their co-workers. Trust is the underlying issue that gets in the way of Organizational Intellect and once a business gets past that the plan starts to come to fruition like a well oiled machine.
